Addressing mediapersons he said that under the Mukhiya Mantri Kanya Vivah Yojana the state government would pay Rs 5,000 at the time of the marriage to the girl, who comes from the family having the annual income of less than Rs 60,000. Announcing the second schemes related to the girl-child he said that the government would deposit Rs 2,000 in the name of each girl-child born in the family of those belonging to Below Poverty Line. This scheme will be known as Kanya Suraksha Yojana.

Besides, Rs 1,700 would be paid to the people living below the poverty line to build latrine. This scheme would be named Lohia Swach Yojana.

The fourth scheme is related to the education of the poor children belonging to the minority community. They would get free text-books worth Rs 120 at the time of their enrollment in the primary school and Rs 150 at the secondary school.

The chief minister claimed that the state had made all round progress in the last two years and in many sectors people have started feeling the result, especially in the field of health and education. He said that infrastructure development, especially construction of roads and bridges, was the priority area for which the state government had earmarked Rs 3,000 crore this financial year. He said not only the urban and rural roads and state highwarys were being constructed the state government was also undertaking the repair work of the National Highways. The road construction work would further be speeded up, he added.

On the other hand the former chief minister, Rabri Devi, said that the people of the state had been feeling cheated and let down in the last two years. He accused the Nitish government of making hollow promises and doing nothing. The state RJD chief, Abdul Bari Siddiqui, who was also present on the occasion, accused the state government of wrongly taking the credit of the centrally-sponsored schemes. Be it on the law and order front or floods the state government had failed, he said.

Meanwhile, the Lok Janshakti Party chief, Ram Bilas Paswan, once again hit out at Nitish Kumar for dividing the Dalits by creating a Maha Dalit Commission.

While I wish best of luck to Hon'ble Chief Minister of Bihar (Shri Nitish Kumar) on his completion of two years in office. I request him to continue his effort to streamline Bihar State and put everything on track.

It is disgusting to note that Laloo / Rabri is attacking severely on Nitishjee, because their hands are itching for the power in order to push Bihar more on below-below poverty line. One thing I would like to suggest Nitishjee to keep aside criminals/goondas/Bahubalis from your party, otherwise this will tarnish your image.

Further, though I am out-of-Bihar for work, my whole family members are there and they always apprise me about the latest development and based on that, there is a change in functioning of overall administration.

As far as development is concerned, it will certainly take some time, as overnight changes cannot be done. I request Laloojee to kindly point out what sort of development work you had done in 15 years long rule??? You may indepenently ask any RJD men and their answer will be none, because Bihar is currently very far from development and not competing with other States on the developmental front. There should be a collective effort to see the development. When Nitishjee anounce something, he should also implement, then development can be seen.

In order to attract Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) or investment from large business tycoon, Law & Order situation has to be improved and strict crime control measures needs to be taken, so that there should not be any fear in mind.

As a Bihari, we have extraordinary hope from present CM and as promised he should make we Bihari to say "WE ARE PROUD OF OUR STATE BIHAR".

Good Luck!
