Patna, (Bihar Times): The body of Sonu, a student of
DAV Public School in Munger, was recovered from a well
on Thursday morning.
Sonu was kidnapped on November 23 last while he was
reportedly returning from his school. Later the
abductors emanded ransom money from his father, who
is a junior engineer in Jamalpur railway workshop near
Munger town.
Police on Wednesday arrested five of his class-mates
and have confirmed the involvement of at least one of
them. They discount the theory of the involvement of
any big gang behind this kidnapping and say that some
petty disputes may have led to his murder. However, it
is not giving detail information about the whole
story. The recovery of the body has sent a shock wave
in the twin-towns of Munger and Jamalpur.
Meanwhile, a homeopathic doctor was abducted from
Bhagalpur on Tuesday. The doctor, who used to double
as an LIC agent, was reportedly taken away on
motorcycle by some people to Sabour block of the
district on the plea that he was being taken for the
purchase of some LIC policy. However, when he did not
return on Tuesday his wife lodged a case in the police
station. Police have picked up two persons and
interrogating them.
