| Patna,   (Bihar Times): Classes in the International
  Nalanda University, a brain child   of the former
  President, Dr A P J Abdul Kalam, will start from the
  year   2009.This was announced by the chief minister,
  Nitish Kumar, after his   one-hour long meeting with Mr
  Kalam, who also happens to be the Visitor of Rs   700
  crore INU.  
 Mr Kalam will be visiting Rajgir, Nalanda and   Bodh
    Gaya and Patna during his two day visit to the state
    on February 8   and 9.
 
 Kalam would hold talks with academics, intellectuals
    and   bureaucrats to finalise the academic content of
    the courses to be taught in   the INU.

          | I think this would be biggest initiative apart from   current industrial developments taking place. If you build a institution who can   build further intellectual capital then it can be better than several   industries. Bihar needs it badly. I urge Nithish ji to please make this   university a top priority. There is no doubt that this initiative would take   Nalanda and Bihar miles away from others under the guidance of Kalam Saab.
