2007-08 was initially Rs 10,200 crore and later scaled
up to Rs 11,000 crore. For the financial year 2008-09
it should be around Rs 12,000 crore. The department,
according to reports, is facing problems in finding
funds for four new plans including Chief Minister’s
Urban Development Scheme recently okayed by the state
cabinet. The other three are: Special Housing Scheme
for the flood affected districts, the Aam Admi Bima
Yojana and Buddha Smriti Park. They require Rs 1,140
      crore.
