Patna, (Bihar Times): Coming close on the heels of   the
      extortion case against the ruling Janata Dal (United)
      MLA by Gammon   India Ltd an employee of a road
      construction firm was killed and three   others
      seriously injured in Teer village under Siwan district
      on   Thursday.
      
      According to the superintendent of police, Sunil
      Kumar, five   armed criminals stormed the office of
      Morewan Construction Company, engaged   in road
      construction work between Darauli and Asaon in the
      district, and   opened fire killing an employee on the
      spot and critically injuring three   others. They were
      rushed to a government hospital.
      
      The criminals   looted Rs 1.75 lakh from the office of
      the firm. It is said that the failure   to pay the
      extortion amount was responsible for the killing of
      the   employees of the firm.
      
      Earlier this week a case has been lodged against   the
      ruling Janata Dal (United) MLA from Raghopur in Supaul
      district,   Neeraj Kumar Singh alias Babloo, for
      allegedly indulging in extortion and   misbehaving with
      the manager of a reputed firm involved in   the
      construction of the East-West Corridor. This six-lane
      National Highway   is being built under the Prime
      Minister’s Golden Quadrilateral Project and   connects
      the eastern part of India to the west.
      
      Babloo is not the only   ruling party MLA involved in
      such extortion racket in the state.
