Patna, (Bihar Times): Syed Ahsan, a professor in Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, has been appointed as the new Pro-Vice Chancellor of Patna University. On the other hand Prof Rajdeo Singh, principal of Raja Singh College, Siwan, has been appointed as the VC of B R Ambedkar University, Muzaffarpur. Prof Ahsan is the brother of former PU vice chancellor, Dr Nazre Ahsan.

Meanwhile, Prof Shyam Lal, took charge as the vice chancellor of Patna University on Friday. After joining his post he said that he would make all out effort to see to it that Patna University become a central university. “It would be a gift for the people of Bihar for 2008,” he said.
