|            | Patna, (Bihar Times): The Bihar-Jharkhand Motion
    Pictures’Association has decided to take
an initiave. This organization will fight
for the rights of the Bhojpuri actors and actresses
from the region. The new body will comprise Bhojpuri
film actors, producers and directors as its members.
According to the BJMPA member, Dr Sunil Kumar, himself
    a film-maker, a number of film-makers from the
non-Bhojpuri regions have joined the industry in a bid
to cash the boom in Bhojpuri film industry. Thus now
the problem is that there is no guarantee whether
actors and actresses from Bihar and Jharkhand,
especially new-comers, would get a break.

Not only that sometimes they also had to undergo
financial and physical exploitation. Thus it is
essential to provide them a forum. The Association
will also set up Bhojpuri Help Centre  to raise their
voice against exploitation and help them get justice.
The Centre will start functioning in Mumbia by the end
    of this month.

The Association sought to make a minimum of five-day
shooting of Bhojpuri films in Bihar, Jharkhand and
Uttar Pradesh mandatory for the Bhojpuri film-makers.
It will not allow release of films in Bihar and
Jharkhand of those producers who fail to follow its
guidelines. Shooting of films in this region will
generate employment opportunities and revenue, Dr
    Sunil said.

It has also been decided to purchase cameras, lights
etc so that the film-makers need not bother to bring
    these things from Mumbai.
