Bhupendra Mandal University to set up cancer project

 

Patna, (Bihar Times): The Madhepura-based Bhupendra Narayan Mandal University is planning to set up a mega inter-disciplinary research project in collaboration with the  Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR), a Russian institute situated near Moscow, on removal of cancer cells. A Memorandum of Understanding between the two universities is likely to be signed soon.

It is based on macro-wave amplification stimulated emission radiation (MASER) technology and the investigation is likely to draw attention of different medical colleges of both the countries. The integrated programme, ‘Bio-physical investigation of tumor cells removal and mechanism based on free electron Maser application’ will be conducted by a team of senior teachers of the Physics department led by Dr A P Dubey, in corporation with doctors of the Katihar Medical College and Russian nuclear scientists.
