|            | Patna, (Bihar Times): Reliance Industries and Hindustan
    Petroleum   Corporation Ltd (HPCL) are among those who
    have submitted bids for reviving   half-a-dozen sugar
    mills in the state.
 According to sugarcane minister   of Bihar, Nitish
    Mishra, the state-run Hindustan Petroleum   Corporation
    Limited and India’s top refiner, Reliance and several
    other major industrial houses   participated in the bids  
    for revival of six of the 13 state-owned sugar   mills  
    which are not in production.
 
 As reported   earlier too the winners will be given the
    sugar mills on a 60-year lease and   are likely to use
    them for extracting ethanol, which is to be mixed   with
    petrol from this year.
 
 The mills are situated in Rayam, Lohat,   Motipur,
    Sugauli and Bihta.
