|            | Patna, (Bihar Times): Bhojpuri superstar Ravi Kishan on
Thursday said in Mumbai he would move the court for
revoking the ban imposed on him by newly-created the
Bihar and Jharkhand Motion Picture Producers
Association (BJMPPA). He also threatened to file a
defamation suit as the move has maligned his image.
He wondered as to how sudden ban can be imposed by an
organization and that too without even issuing any
notice seeking an explanation. This is against the
democratic ethos of the country, he told a section of
  Press in Mumbai.

He said that no actor has ever been banned in this
country and he would seek judicial recourse to not
only get the ban revoked but also file defamation
  suit.

The Association had taken a strong objection to Kishan
supporting veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty, who after
a payment dispute with a Bihar-based producer, decided
not to act in any Bhojpuri films in the state or
Jharkhand. Kishan said that his statement had been
  misinterpreted.
     The Bihar-Jharkhand Motion Pictures’Association on
December 30 decided to fight for the rights of the
Bhojpuri actors and actresses from the region. The new
body will comprise Bhojpuri film actors, producers and
    directors as its members.
