Patna, April 13 : Six people, including four policemen, were killed in a surprise Maoist attack at the Jajha railway station in Bihar's Jamui district, the police said Sunday.

Over 100 Maoists attacked the Jajha railway station, killing six people, including two Government Railway Police men, two Special Auxiliary Police personnel, and a railway official. The rebels fled with arms and ammunition of the police forces.

"Till now six casualties have been reported in the Maoist attack," Jamui Superintendent of Police Vinay Kumar told IANS by telephone.

Police sources said that the injured, including the officer in-charge of the railway police at Jajha, were rushed to the hospital.

Kumar said that top district officials as well as railway officials rushed to the site.
