Patna, (Bihar Times): As a part of damage limitation exercise the national president of the BJP, Rajnath Singh, summoned the newly appointed health minister of Bihar, Nand Kishore Yadav to Delhi. On April 13 Yadav replaced Channdra Mohan Rai, who was dropped from the cabinet, notwithstanding the BJP dissidents claim that he was the best performing minister in the cabinet.

The irony is that Yadav, who more or less failed toimprove the condition of roads in Bihar––barring the National Highways, which is being built by the central agencies––have been allotted the portfolio of health, once run by the ‘best’ minister in the Nitish cabinet.

Yadav is at present not only the health minister, but also a former state party president. So consultation with him may be important to diffuse the tension within the party. Apart from this development the former Union minister, Ravi Shankar Prasad, remain engaged throughout Sunday in the fire-fighting mission in Patna. He met various leaders and dissident legislators, whose rank is swelling with the passing of each day. The latest to join the anti-Modi campaign is Nityanand Rai, MLA from Hajipur. He equated Modi with Hitler and dubbed him as rank opportunist, who used all his means to become the deputy chief minister of the state.

Modi and Hridaynath Singh, regional organizational incharge of the party are already in Delhi. As reported earlier Radha Mohan Singh, who met veteran leader Kailashpati Mishra, is likely to be made scapegoat, but the dissidents insist on the removal of Modi.
