Patna, (Bihar Times): Issuing a warning to the private agencies engaged in the construction works in the state the chief minister, Nitish Kumar, said that stern action would be taken against those using inferior quality of materials. He said that misuse of public funds be it of the Centre and state would not be tolerated.

Inaugurating a Training-cum-Seminar of engineers and officers attached to the Rural Works Department at S K Memorial Hall in Patna on Tuesday he said that he could make surprisse inspection of any such projects.

He called for paying adequate attention for maintenance of projects being implemented by the Rural Works Departments. The chief minister reiterated that agencies executing projects should also be given the responsibility of maintaining of roads for five years. If their maintanence is satisfactory they should be given maintenance contract for five more years, the chief minister said.
