Patna, (Bihar Times): The Bihar government’s
announcement to constitute a ministerial committee on
court fee hike failed to have any impact on the 80,000
lawyers all over the state. While the high court
strike entered the fifth day on Friday the lawyers of
the civil court have been on strike since March 14.
Instead of softening their stand the lawyers have
toughened it as they get the support from the
opposition Rashtriay Janata Dal. Its spokesman and
former law minister, Shakeel Ahmad Khan, himself a
seasoned lawyer of the Patna high court, told
reporters that the court fees had been enhanced
irrationally and thus should be immediately withdrawn.

On the other hand the agitated lawyers once again
paralysed the vehicular movement on Bailey Road on
Friday. Reports of lawyers agitation have come from
    all over the state.
