|            |     Patna, (Bihar Times): The state government has   finally
    decided to open 50 new private Industrial Training
    Institutes   (ITIs) in the state. Keeping in mind the
    changing demand of the market new   trades have been
    introduced in 15 existing ITIs.
 According to the   deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar
    Modi the government is committed to   provide ample
    opportunity for skill upgradation. These ITIs would be
    able   to provide training to 6,600 trainees.
 
 The procedure for appraising new   applications for
    setting up of new ITIs in the state has been
    simplified.   He said that monthly review of
    applications would be made for opening new   ITIs
    instead of the practice of holding annual meeting for
    the purpose. At   present 90 applications are being
    appraised.
