Patna, (Bihar Times): Nostalgia gripped chief minister
Nitish Kumar on Sunday when he was present at a
function of the National Institute of Technology
Alumni Association, Patna. He got an occasion to
freely mix with old friends, many of them present with
    their spouses.

So much moved was the chief minister with the
situation that he suggested that the NIT Alumni
Association be re-named as the BCE-NIT Alumni
Association as almost all of them present there were
students of the Bihar College of Engineering. His
suggestion was accepted by all those present on the
    occasion.

Incidentally, Nitish as the railway minister under the
Vajpayee government, played a key role in upgrading of
the Bihar College of Engineering to the 18th National
Institute of Technology in January 2004. On Sunday he
confessed that the change in name pained him. Some of
them present in the function were those who passed out
from this college half a century back.
