|            |   Patna,   (Bihar Times): The CPM has charged that the
  migration of labour from Bihar   under the Nitish Kumar
  government has increased by one and a half   time.
 Addressing a Press conference on Tuesday the state
  secretary of   the Party Vijay Kant Thakur held the
  economic policy adopted by the chief   minister
  responsible for the sudden rise in the migration of
  labour from   the state. He said that earlier 10 to 11
  lakh people used to migrate   annually. Now the figure
  has reached 17-18 lakh. He said that in many   villages
  of North Bihar no male members has been left in the
  family. He   cited the example of Kusheshwarsthan and
  Andhri where large scale people have   migrated.
 
 He said that though it is claimed that eight lakh job
  cards   have been made yet two-thirds of the fund meant
  for the National Rural   Employment Gurantee Scheme has
  still not been spent.
