Two BPSC members suspended

Patna, (Bihar Times): Two members of the Bihar Public Service Commission have been suspended on charge of gross irregularities in recommending the names of 165 candidates for appointment as veterinary doctors and 184 Grade-III employees for promotion to the rank of deputy collector.

According to the personnel secretary, Amir Subhani, the two are D N Sharma and Shiv Balak Chaudhary. He said that the action had been taken after the Presidential reference to the Supreme Court. The order of suspension was issued a few days ago.

Since they had been holding the constitutional posts the Raj Bhawan sent the recommendation to the President of India for their removal. This was sent in July last. The state government had recommended their dismissal from the post. The inquiry was conducted by the State Vigilance Investigation Bureau.
