Patna, Feb 23 :Two people were killed by suspected Maoist rebels in a Bihar village, police said Saturday.

The two were killed in a shootout with armed Maoists who raided a village in Khagaria district Friday. Three to four Maoist rebels were also injured.

The incident has created panic among the villagers," a police official said.

Police have launched an operation to arrest the rebels of the outlawed Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist).
