Patna, (Bihar Times): Activists of the Bharatiya Janata Party set ablaze a reserved coach of Bhagalpur-New Delhi Vikramshila Express on Thursday in protest against the Amarnath land transfer revocation by the Jammu and Kashmir government.

While the BJP and Vishwa Hindu Parishad sponsored bandh call on Thursday evoked partial response elsewhere in the state in Bhagalpur they detained the Vikramshila Express for about half an hour. Later when the train started from the Bhagalpur station some of the activists tried to torch one of the coaches. The fire, however, was brought under control but not before a dozen sleeper was badly burnt.
