Patna, (Bihar Times): In a significant move Railway Minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal chief, Lalu Prasad Yadav, on Wednesday visited Mohammadpur village under Phulwarisharif police station of the Patna district, where three Bhumihars and two Yadavs were hacked to death a few days back. He consoled the family members and assured all help to them.

Later he visited the house of the slain secretary of the Patna Municipal Corporation, Manzar Alam, in Haroon Nagar-II and assured all possible help to his daughters. The latter sought the CBI inquiry into the matter. Alam, a Bihar Administrative Service officer, was hacked to death along with his wife in the wee hours of July 2. The police are yet to arrest any person in these two cases. Similarly, on July 1 last a neuro-surgeon, Ajay Narayan Sinha, was killed in the Railway Colony area of Khagaul under Phulwari police station.

Lalu accompanied Patna MP, Ram Kripal Yadav and Phulwari MLA, Shyam Rajak, to Mohammadpur and Haroon Nagar in a bid to woo the voters as the parliamentary election is quite imminent.
