    Patna, (Bihar Times): The state government has scrapped 12,476 approved but   vacant posts of government secondary school assistant teachers in the pay scale   of Rs 5,500-9,000.
 Instead it has approved the creation of 22,476, that   is, exactly 10,000 more new posts of assistant teachers on the much lower   consolidated amount of Rs 6,000 per month.
 
 According to reports published   in Hindustan Times the government has also decided that the remaining 18.458   posts of assistant teachers in the old pay scale would be surrendered   progressively from the date of retirement of each incumbent.
