Patna, (Bihar Times): Twenty-three people are reported to have lost their lives when the boat in which they were travelling overturned in river Kosi in Purnea district on Wednesday.
The boat was carrying 40 passengers. Seventeen of them swam to safety. So far four bodies could be fished out from the river. Overloading and fast wind are the factors said to be responsible for the accident. High district and police officials have rushed to the spot to rescue the people and fish out the bodies.
