Patna, (Bihar Times): More than a fortnight after the
incident an FIR was lodged on Friday against Narendra
Singh, minister of food and civil supplies in the
Nitish Kumar cabinet, his MLA son, Abhay Singh and 10
others.
The two have been charged with pushing down from the
dais the MLA of the alliance partner, the Bharatiya
Janata Party, Falguni Yadav in a function in Balthara
village in Jamui district. The latter got fractured
one of his legs and received injuries in the chest.
The FIR has been lodged under the ection 323, 341,
379/34 of the Indian Penal Code on the complaints of
Falguni Yadav. Besides, charging Narendra, his son and
supporters with murderous attack Yadav accused them of
snatching Rs 5,000 and a gold chain.
The filing of case against Narendra Singh and his son,
who belong to the Janata Dal (United) will once again
foment trouble within the NDA as Falguni Yadav had
already made a prestige issue within his own party. He
even threatened to quit if the party does not take a
stand on the issue.
