Patna, (Bihar Times): Even as the state government is
yet to completely overcome the crisis in the Patna
Medical College Hospital, the Bihar State Health
Sevices Association has given 45 days ultimatum to
accept its charter of demands. It also sought judicial
probe into the June 5 incident on the Patna Medical
College Hosptial in which three Press photographers
were alleged to be assaulted by the junior doctors.

It says that if the state government did not comply
with the February 18 agreement the Association would
be forced to re-launch the agitation.

The decision was taken at the executive committee
meeting of the BSHSA under the chairmanship of its
president, Dr Ram Nagina Prasad Singh, here on Sunday.
As per the agreement the government was to accept the
demands by March 31 last. The demands include dynamic
ACP, empowerment of health directorate, giving
responsible position to the senior doctors in the
State Health Society and bringing an act to provide
protection to health department professionals. The
Association said that not a single of their demands
has been implemented by the state government.  The
February 18 agreenebt preceded two days of strike by
BSHSA on February 7 and 8.
The BSHSA asked the government to keep on hold all
actions against the junior doctors of the PMCH till
the judicial ninquiry submits its report. The
Association demanded increase in the number of doctors
and para-medic staff as the number of patients have,
    over the years, incresed.
