Patna, (Bihar Times): Offering laddu to the topper of
the IITJEE 2008, Shitikanth, chief minister Nitish
Kumar announced a cash award of Rs one lakh to him.
Nitish wished him all the best and hoped that he would
bring more laurels to the country and the state in
future. On this occasion he also announced the
introduction of Bihar Gaurav Samman. Shitikant’s
mother, Dr Anita Kumari and sister accompanied him to
the chief minister’s residence on Saturday.
On the other hand Canara Bank felicitated Shitikanth
at the latter’s residence and offered all financial
assistance to him in his further study. The divisional
manager of the bank, Umesh Prasad and chief manager, R
K Swain, made the offer.
