Patna, (Bihar Times):   Keeping in mind the huge
potential the National Institute of Technology   (Patna)
has been advised by the Bihar State Hydel Power
Corporation to   introduce in its syllabus a course on
Hydro Power. There is one such course   in IIT-Roorkee.
 The idea was floated by L P Sinha, the   Managing
Director of the Corporation to a delegation of 22
professors from   different universities of the country,
who were in Patna to attend the 13-day   workshop on
sustainable water resources development and
management. The   workshop organized by the Union
ministry of human resources development   started on
June 16 and would continue till June 29.
 
 Sinha briefed the   delegation about the hydel power
projects going on in Bihar and gave special   emphasis
to the role of civil engineers in it. The delegation
had in fact   visited some of the sites of the hydel
power such as Barun in Aurangabad   district, Tejpura,
Agnoor, Arwal, Walidad and Belsar. All these sites   are
