Patna, (Bihar Times): After Patna University the employees of all the varsities   of the state went on indefinite strike from Wednesday. Incidentally, the   employees struck work just when the academic session is about to start. Not only   that they ceased work just when the Chancellor’s deadline to streamline its   functioning ends in the first week of July.
 
    
    
    
    
 
 The employees of Patna   University are already on the warpath for the last one month.
 
 According   to the patron of Bihar State University Employees Federation, Ramjatan Sinha,   the government had taken the employees for a ride. It has not fulfilled the   demands notwithstanding the commitment made many months back.
 
 Among other   things the nine point charter of demands include pay scale and other incentive   on par with the secretariat employees, 50 per cent DA merger with the basic   scale and Assured Career Promotion Scheme.
