Patna, (Bihar Times): The acting director of the Indira
Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Dr A K Singh, on
Wednesday resigned following the state government’s
decision to replace him with Dr Arun Kumar, Professor
and Head of the Department of Anaesthesia. Dr Kumar
will function as the acting director till a new
regular director is appointed.
Dr Singh has been officiating as the acting Director
for the last two years.
The irony is that though the state government has
planned to start a medical college in IGIMS from the
next academic session there is no regular director in
this super-specialty hospital for the last over two
years.
Sources say that some more changes are going to be
made in the IGIMS in the next few days.
