Patna, May 8 : A dreaded gangster Bhangar Yadav, who is allegedly involved in over 100 cases of murder, extortion and kidnap, surrendered to the police in Bihar's West Champaran district, police sources said Thursday.

Official sources in the district administration said that Yadav surrendered before the Superintendent of Police K.S. Anupam at Bettiah, district headquarters of West Champaran, about 200 km from here.

Yadav, in his 50s, was carrying a cash reward of Rs.2,00,000 on his head. He was absconding for over two decades and was active in East and West Champaran districts. He was also involved in several crimes in neighbouring Uttar Pradesh, the police alleged.
