Patna, (Bihar Times): To sharpen the the teaching
      skills of college and   university teachers of science
      streams of the state the Aryabhatt Centre for   Creative
      Sciences will come up on the campus of Patna
      University by July   next. This Centre will be a part of
      Raj Bhawan’s Vidya Vigyan Programme.   Initially it will
      run its office from the official residence of   the
      superintendent of Newton House.
 
    
        
        
        
        According to the Pro-VC of the   Patna University, Prof
      S I Ahsan, though the Patna University had   included
      the ACCS in the proposal for funding from the
      Unviersity Grant   Commission under the 11th Plan
      efforts are on to seek special assistance from   the
      department of science and technology of the   Bihar
      government.
 
 
 Named after the famous astronomer and mathematician   of
      ancient Bihar the ACCS will impart training on the
      latest teaching   methodology on subjects of both
      conventional and professional courses   involving
      laboratory works like Physics, Chemistry, Botany,
      Zoology,   Bio-Technology, Micro-Biology, Bio-Chemistry
      and Computer Application. The   detail work plan will be
      decided later. Teachers from different   universities
      will be invited to participate in the short   training
      programme of both theoretical and practical aspects
      under the   guidance of experts.
