Patna, (Bihar Times): Chief minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday told the district magistrates that misappropriation of fund or tardy execution of the Mukhiya Mantri Awas Yojana will invite administrative and criminal proceedings against the guilty officials.
Addressing district magaistrates of the 22 flood hit
districts he said that there should not be any
compromise in the construction quality and the
dwelling units should be constructed in the set time
frame. He also asked the officials to ensure
availability of building material to the
beneficiaries.
He said that it should be ensured that no eligible
person is left out. This Yojana was taken up after the
2007 floods. Pucca (concrete) houses will be built at
the cost of Rs 25,000 for all those whose houses were
completely destroyed.
Though the chief minister had launched the Yojana
reports said that there is serious shortage of bricks
to built these houses and that too with the
time-frame.
