Patna, (Bihar Times): An FIR has been lodged with the
Sachivalaya police station against the former chairman
of the Bihar Legislative Council and Rajya Sabha MP of
Rashtriya Janata Dal, Prof Jabir Husain and the then
secretary of the Council, Kapil Deo Prasad.
According to the FIR lodged by Raj Kumar Singh of
Siwan on Sunday illegal appointments in Class-III and
IV were made during Prof Husain’s tenure as the
Chairman. The case had been lodged on the directive of
the Patna high court. The complainant, Raj Kumar
Singh, alleged that the appointments were made by Prof
Husain and Mr Prasad in connivance with other
officials. Singh said that he moved Patna high court
only after the department failed to take any action on
the issue. The court also asked the present acting
Chairman of the Council to enquire the matter.
The police are about to interrogate about 70 people
who allegedly got appointed in the Council then.
