Patna, (Bihar Times): The vice chancellor of   Patna
University, Prof Shyam Lal, on Monday inaugurated the
Aryabhatt   Centre for Creative Learning in Science at
the department of   Physics.
 
    
    
    
   Thirty-one teachers from various universities of the
    state is   taking part in the exhaustive inter-active
    session to improve quality of   science teaching and
    generate the interest of students in pure science.   The
    main thrust of the Centre is to bring about uniformity
    in science   teaching across the state by orienting it
    to practical real life   situation.
 
 It needs to be mentioned that the Centre has been set
    up   under Vidya Vigyan Programme of the Chancellor’s
    office and is funded by the   Univeristy Grants
    Commission. Dr Shankar Kumar of the department   of
    Physics had first developed the proposal for the
    Aryabhatt Centre to   make science more and more student
    friendly.
 
 Faculty members coming   from outside Patna will be
    provided free fooding and accommodation at   Newton’s
    House. The Centre plans to organize 24 workshops––six
    in each of   the four science streams.
 
 The Centre will develop a Science Museum for   students.
    It would hold inter and intra-university project
