Patna, (Bihar Times): After waiting for about two
months following the high court intervention the Bihar
State Health Services Association has given a two-day
strike call on February 7 and 8 to press their charter
of demands. The executive committee meeting of the
BSHSA held on Sunday also decided that the doctors
would go on indefinite strike from February 21 if
their demands are not met till then.

Apart from other things the doctors demand central pay
scale, perks and allowances, dynamic ACP, specialist
cadre, restoration of power of the health directorate
  etc.

It needs to be mentioned that the doctors decided to
go on indefinite strike from the first week of
December, but following the intervention of the Patna
high court they put off their stir.  But since the
state government has not paid any heed to their
demands the doctors have once again decided to go on
  warpath.
