      | Patna, (Bihar Times): Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar,
railway minister Lalu Yadav, fertilizer minister, Ram
Vilas Paswan and likes of them on Wednesday called for
the treatment of what can be termed as the Bal-Raj
syndrome, a fatal disease spreading in Maharashtra.

                 | Uncle Bal Thackeray perhaps in a fit of hysteria wrote
an editorial in Samana, Shiv Sena’s mouthpiece which,
according to the RJD MP, Ram Kripal Yadav, exposes his
and his nephew Raj’s mental and physical ill-health.
They should be consigned to a mental asylum, he said.
However, reacting more coolly in New Delhi Nitish
Kumar reiterated that Biharis do not need any
certificate from anyone for their hard working nature.
He once again said that he had written to Prime
Minister Manmohan Singh and urged him to ask the
Maharashtra government to take appropriate measures
against violence unleashed on Hindi-speaking people
there. “We request the prime minister to call a
meeting where politicians from both the states should
meet and sort out the differences,” he told newsmen.

If Nitish is today seeking action against Shiv Sena,
till recently, a close political ally of Janata Dal
(United) and the BJP in the National Democratic
Alliance, Lalu Yadav too is feeling uncomfortable with
the Congress government of the state, which is,
according to many RJD men is just a silent spectator.
Stating that one must avoid paying heed to such
senseless outburst he asked who can stop people from
settling anywhere. “I will send more people from
    Bihar,” he added.

Paswan on the other hand call for ignoring Bal’s
blood-soaked editorial. “Nobody is going to leave
    Mumbai,” he said.

Meanwhile, members of Parliament from Bihar and Uttar
Pradesh have submitted a breach of privilege motion

against Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray for making
remarks against them.

They now want action taken against him. Even Speaker
Somnath Chateerjee has ruled that the remarks were
contempt of the House.

This could mean serious trouble for the 82-year-old
Sena chief. The Speaker may refer it to the privilege
committee or take up the matter in the House. Experts
feel that Thackeray may be asked to depose, he may be
reprimanded or worse sent to jail, but that will be a
tough task.

The Samana editorial which came out on Wednesday
referred to Lalu Prasad-style politicians and Janata
Dal (United) MP Prabhunath Singh who it says, deserves
to be in jail.

“They (Bihar MPs) say that Mumbaikars’ brains are
rotten, they don’t have their country’s interest in
mind, but such a stand by these MPs will trouble their
brethren in Mumbai,” Thackeray wrote.
Reports from Delhi said that Maharashtra Chief
Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh met Congress chief Sonia
Gandhi over the issue and said that his government is
seeking legal opinion.

He said that “even if the editorial has upset a
particular community, or created a law and order
problem, unless we know what section has been
violated, we cannot take any action. That is why we
have sought immediate legal opinion and will take all
necessary action.”
