Two brothers commit suicide over family dispute

Patna, March 9 :Two brothers ended their lives by consuming poison in the Bihar capital. Police said Sunday that a family dispute was the reason for the extreme step.

Raman Thakur, 35, and Aman Thakur, 32, committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance in their rented house in Kankarbagh colony. Police recovered the bodies late Saturday night.

Kankarbagh police station in-charge Ramakant Prasad said that preliminary evidence suggests that they had committed suicide three days back.

They were the sons of Samastipur College economics professor Suman Thakur.

Police have found a suicide note in which they blamed their family for forcing them to commit suicide. "It appears to be a matter of family dispute," said a police official.

The brothers were working as photographers here for last few months. Police have registered a case.
