Domestic servant killed in Muzaffarpur

Patna, March 14 : A domestic servant was allegedly killed by a professor in Bihar's Muzaffarpur town Friday, police sources said.

Angry over his death, hundreds of local people protested by ransacking the house of the accused and demanded action against him.

Vikash Kumar, a teenager, who was working as a domestic servant at the residence of Birendra Nath Mishra, a professor, in Muzaffarpur town, about 70 km from here, died Friday morning.

Kumar's family members alleged that he was fine early Friday morning but later Mishra informed them that he suddenly collapsed and died.

"Mishra, who is professor of Hindi, killed Vikash Kumar for demanding money that was due to him," Kumar's relatives told the police.

After the news of Kumar's death spread, local people surrounded MIshra's house, smashed window panes and forced Mishra to lock himself inside.

Later, the police intervened and pacified the mob and assured action against Mishra if found true.
