Chinese team invites Nitish to Hunan

 

Patna, (Bihar Times): Chief minister Nitish Kumar has been invited to the International Trade And Investment Fair to be held in Hunan province of China in August. This invitation was given to him by a six-member Chinese delegation from that state which met him on Tuesday.

They also invited Patna mayor, Sanjay Kumar and tourism secretary, Rashmi Verma, to the International Tourism Fair being organized there next month. The meeting called for developing cultural ties between Hunan and Bihar. The commonalities of the two states also came up during the discussion.

The Chinese team members said that while 85 per cent of the people of Bihar are engaged in agriculture that of Hunan is 67 per cent. Animal husbandry is also a favourite occupation of people of both the places.

The Chinese team also called on the governor, R S Gavai.

It needs to be mentioned that the external affairs minister Pranab Mukherjee last month requested the
Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar to lead a goodwill delegation to China.

In a letter to the chief minister, Mukherjee requested him to lead a delegation under the exchange programme of the External Affairs Ministry with the international department of the Communist Party of
China.
