Patna, (Bihar Times): Former Bihar chief minister Rabri
Devi said on Saturday that the CAG report for the
2006-07 had exposed the widespread corruption and
total mismanagement in the Nitish Kumar government and
its claim of sushan (good governance).

In a statement the leader of the opposition in the
state assembly said that the CAG report only confirmed
what her party and its leader the railway minister,
Lalu Prasad, has repeatedly been saying that the UPA
government has financially helped the state government
      by allocating it huge funds.

Rabri Devi said since CAG is a constitutional body its
reports are authentic and the state government can not
dismiss it by dubbing it a political conspiracy.

Now the CAG report had made it amply clear that 80 per
cent of the revenues of the state were actually the
funds released to it by the Centre. In contrast during
her regime, the state had been financially starved by
      the Centre, Rabri said.

She said that while the Nitish government had been
claiming that development had accelerated during its
rule, the GDP of the state had actually dropped
      compared to her own government.
