Nitish seeks enquiry into Walmart lobbying case

Patna,(BiharTimes): After the issue was raised by the BJP in the Rajya Sabha Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday demanded an enquiry into reports that retailer Wal-Mart had spent a massive 25 million dollar on lobbying to get entrance into India.

Criticizing the Centre for forcefully imposing the FDI the chief minister, while addressing the Press, said that these firms indulge in lobbying to expand their business empire. However, he reiterated that he would welcome FDI in infrastructure development but not in retail trade as it would only increase unemployment and the move was definitely not in the interest of traders and farmers.
