Nitish govt distributing fake companies’ radio : Lalu

Patna,(BiharTimes): Though Bihar’s SC/ST Welfare minister Jitan Ram Manjhi told the state Assembly in the last Winter Session that the government had distributed about six lakh radio sets among maha-dalits the Rashtriya Janata Dal president, Lalu Yadav, said that chief minister Nitish Kumar is befooling maha-dalits by distributing radios made by fake companies and not addressing their core problem.

Addressing a big public meeting in Sasaram on Wednesday he said Nitish, while launching the Maha-dalit radio scheme under the Bihar Mahadalit Vikas mission had said radios would make this section aware of popular government schemes, but all these radios turned out to be fake ones and are not working.

He said the radio were purchased at a paltry sum of Rs 150 a piece from Chandni Chowk market in Delhi but are dubbed as branded and a bill of Rs 3,000 per piece were withdrawn from the state treasury.

Lalu called a maha-dalit youth on the stage and asked whether the radio provided to his family was functioning. The youth replied in negative.
