Adhikar Rally only exposes Nitish’s failures: Tariq Anwar

Patna,(BiharTimes): Stating that the special status is not the panacea for all the problems the new minister of state for agriculture, Tariq Anwar, said on Wednesday that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was organizing the Adhikar rally to cover up the failures of his government on all the fronts.
Speaking at a function organized in the office of the Nationalist Congress Party to felicitate him on becoming the Union minister, Tariq said the Adhikar Rally is being organized by the JD(U) as a political agenda of the chief minister. He said Nitish can not get away by just blaming the Centre.

Tariq Anwar said the November 4 rally at Gandhi Maidan is not at all going to benefit the state. He asked Nitish as to why he did not raise the demand of special status category for Bihar when he was the Union minister in the Vajpayee cabinet.

As Nitish has failed to deliver on his promise to change the face of Bihar he is now trying to distract the attention of the people by raising such demands.

The NCP leader said that the chances of the Centre according special status to Bihar appeared remote as there are other states like Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha and Rajasthan which can raise similar demands. Bihar should rather seek a special package which the NCP would support.

He said he did not take Arvind Kejriwal’s latest allegations seriously.

Earlier, Tariq was given a warm welcome at the airport after his arrival to Patna for the first time since he took oath as the Union minister last Sunday.
