Three Santhals shot dead in Purnea

Patna,(BiharTimes): Three Santhals were killed and four seriously injured on the Adhikar Rally day on Sunday when miscreants opened fire on them at Bhapsara village in Purnea district following a dispute over land.
According to reports the deceased have been identified as Karan Tuddu and Rakesh Tuddu, both 36 years old and Manjul Desra (55). They were all residents of the village, under the jurisdiction of Barhara police station and situated about 75 km of the district headquarters.

The injured were identified as Tala Hafda, Daso Tuddu, Talu Hafda and Sarwan Tuddu and have been admitted to Purnea sadar hospital.

The superintendent of police Amit Lodha said the deceased had allegedly encroached on a land in the village and were farming on it.

He said the owners of the land live in the neighbouring Madhepura district.
