Unfortunate that no BJP leader from Bihar has been invited: Dr C P Thakur

Patna,(BiharTimes): Now it is clear that it is not only the deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi and party spokesmen from Bihar Ravi Shankar Prasad and Syed Shahnawaz Husain who have not been invited by the BJP in Gujarat not a single leader from the state has been asked to campaign in the Assembly election there. Even the great crowd puller and former Union minister Shatrughan Sinha has been ignored so has been the other spokesman of the party Rajiv Pratap Rudy.

All this in spite of the fact that there is a sizeble Bihari population in Gujarat. Health minister Ashwini Kumar Choubey was invited in the Bihar Diwas celebration organized by the Gujarat BJP a few months back.

The Bihar unit of the BJP has expressed its displeasure over this decision of the party. State party chief, Dr C P Thakur called it unfortunate. He said that it might be that the central leadership had discussed the matter with the Gujarat chief minister, Narendra Modi.

The Gujarat BJP on Wednesday submitted a list of 40 speakers to the Election Commission. Incidentally, not a single national level Muslim leader of the BJP, even Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, has been invited.
