Salman Bashir refuses to comment on Kasab’s mercy plea

Patna,(BiharTimes): The visiting Pakistani High Commissioner to India, Salman Bashir, refused to comment on the mercy plea of Ajmal Amir Kasab pending before the President of India, but said that he respects the country’s judicial system and process.

Talking to mediapersons in Patna on Thursday he said he had no comment to offer on the Kasab case.

It needs to be recalled that the Supreme Court of India confirmed Kasab’s death sentence on August 29 this year.

“We respect the judicial processes and of course I have nothing to really comment on this particular development,” he said.
