Maoists kill CRPF trooper in Bihar

Patna, Sep 9 (IANS) A CRPF trooper was killed and five security personnel were injured in a gun-battle with the Maoists Sunday in Bihar's Aurangabad district, police said.

Police officials in Aurangabad said that paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force's (CRPF) trooper was killed and others injured in a forest near Pachrukhiya.

"All the five injured security personnel were admitted to a private hospital in Patna," a police official said.

Bihar Police chief Abhyanand told reporter here that security forces had launched searches for the Maoists.
