176 MGNREGA employees dismissed in Bihar 

 

Patna,(BiharTimes): Rural development minister Nitish Mishra said 176 MNREGA employees have been terminated from their jobs and FIRs have been registered against 200. Also, electronic muster system has been implemented since September 2012, Lokpal have been posted in 11 districts and would soon be posted in other districts too. 

The action has been taken on the basis of the inspection reports of 4,123 panchayats. In all 4,211 MGNREGA employees have been issued show-cause notices.

Talking to media on Thursday he said three panchayats in every district that have performed well would also be rewarded on January 26.

He said the state government has decided to issue statement of job to MGNREGA workers. The workers would be able to get the details of how much payment has been drawn in their name.

Principal secretary of the department, Amrit Lal Meena, said emphasis was being laid on regular data updation on websites. The department has also received 352 online applications for state quality monitors in response to an ad issued for the successful execution of MGNREGA scheme.

He said, caste-based social and economic census would be done in three phases and is expected to be complete by March in the state.
