CM holds Centre responsible for Bihar’s backwardness

Patna,(BiharTimes): Chief minister Nitish Kumar on Friday blamed Centre for poor industrial growth of Bihar.
Inaugurating a poultry farm and hatchery at Hajipur Industrial Area in Vaishali district on Friday he said in spite of abundance of sugarcane production in Bihar it could not develop sugar industries, which instead flourished in western and southern parts of the country.

Nitish also laid the foundation of a frozen food processing unit.
The units in Hajipur have been set up by Protect Feed Private Limited, owned by Janata Dal (United) MLA from Sahebganj Assembly seat in Muzaffarpur, Raju Kumar Singh, who also runs a pharmaceutical company in Russia.

Nitish lauded the entrepreneurship spirit of MLA Singh. He spoke of Bihar’s immense potential for agro-based business.
Referring to RJD chief Lalu Yadav’s allegation he said some people are spreading canards that not even a needle factory has come up in Bihar in last seven years. They should come and see Hajipur Industrial Area and find about the industrial development in the state.
The chief minister also said there was tremendous scope for development of food processing and farm sectors in Bihar and his government was paying attention towards their growth.
