the funeral procession started from his house at kankarbagh and reached his official residence at 4, strand road. the body was also kept on the state legislature premises and, later, taken to janata dal (united) office where leaders paid tributes to the departed soul.

nitish placed a wreath on the body and remained at the cremation ground till the last rites were performed. at the party office, mourners observed two minutes silence.
